We bring overgrown fields, trails and open acreage back under control with tractor-mounted rotary cutting. Our bush hogging process cuts grass, weeds and light brush with stems up to about 1 inch in diameter, leaving larger trees in place.
Best for grass, weeds and slender regrowth on ground our tractor can safely reach.

A manageable field finish while roots and surrounding trees remain.
The customer wanted to walk and enjoy their 5-acre field with family. We bush hogged the tall grass, weeds and light brush to a manageable height. The rough-cut field stayed open, with surrounding trees retained and cuttings left on-site.

Our Bush Hogging Process and Equipment
Our process uses a tractor-mounted rotary cutter to cut tall grass, weeds and light brush with stems up to about 1 inch in diameter. We first check the field for hidden obstacles and access, then choose a suitable cutting height and work in overlapping passes. We finish by checking the agreed paths, edges and usable field area.
Field Growth We Cut in Knoxville
Tall grass, annual weeds and thin woody regrowth can suit rotary cutting on accessible fields. Dense rose thickets, thicker privet and established saplings need assessment for another method. Roots remain, so regular maintenance helps keep the field open.
Land Clearing Questions, Clear Answers.
What is the difference between bush hogging, mulching and clearing?+
Bush hogging cuts grass, weeds and light stems up to about 1 inch. Mulching shreds suitable woody growth into on-site mulch. Clearing can include larger approved trees, roots and hauling. Equipment, access and your desired finish decide the method.
Is debris removal included?+
Forestry mulch normally stays on the ground. For clearing and tree removal, the quote should specify hauling, stump work and the finish. Agree on what will remain before work starts.
How long will my project take?+
Light mowing may take hours; dense brush, larger trees and haul-off can take several days. Slopes, access, ground conditions, weather and approvals affect timing. Confirm the schedule against your specific scope.
